Feeling kinda bummed that i’m to “lazy” to keep the website updated with fresh media at all times.
This was kinda one of my main goals when putting up this new website, TO KEEP IT UPDATED! lol, yeah look how that went..

I guess the main reason is just that darn Facebook, where it is way to easy to just throw pictures up on my wall and then friends and followers will notice it. VS on my website i must go into my admin section, gallery, add image, upload, rename, tag, and then even go and update my gallery lightbox plugin as well. Bla bla bla
So, you can see why it’s just so tempting and easy to throw it up on Facebook instead of here, right?

Well, today i have updated lots of stuff in here, added new videos, added new futures, and changed out some pictures here and there.
Maybe i’ll even try to post more in the blog section if people are interested?

Ok, time to get working again.
Wish me luck 😀

One of the members of our scuba dive club has sorted so we can use the local town pool every Saturday for personal training and fun.
A few weeks ago i had to go check it out.. And what fun it was! (Btw, i haven’t done pool diving since i took my first scuba course years ago, no camera to play with back then.)

So, yeah, this was lots of fun for me.. Warm water, super clear visibility, and some playful kids..
Pretty much just me, and some unknown little kids (and a few adults inc the lifeguard)

At first i was just messing about on my own, getting used to not diving without my drysuit and things like that.. But then the kids just got more and more interested in what i was doing= Photo session time!!
They where just free diving around and playing about in the shallows, but in no-time they where all over and in front of my camera.
So much fun to play around with them in the wet element, hopefully they will be divers in the future 😉
They also got to play around with the camera them self, shooting pics of me and each other.. Fun Fun.

Took some time to get used to what settings i should use/ strobe or no strobe, and things like that.. pretty much just used to murky, cold and dark waters!
But i have to say it was a very good experience compared to shooting photos of real divers!

Feel i got some pretty cool shots, (check out the gallery for more), and will definitive go back for more wide angle practice as soon as they open the pool again next time! 🙂

Here are a few photos. (Last pic: One of the kids shot of me playing around with my scuba gear)

Got a little hooked on this light painting thing, so of to the woods today!
Had a few ideas for light painting today, but it was just to bad weather to mess around with the camera outside, wet snow, and lots of wind, so had to head inside one of  the local man made shelters we have around the island here. And just make the best of it = camera inside, me outside!

Just started slow, experimenting with light setup, orbs, colors, but soon the ideas was a handful, lol.

Anyways, this is what i ended up with! (Remember this is only my second try at this)
Hope to get some nice weather soon, so i can mix in some more elements, light the Aurora-Borealis / Norhernlight, and stuff like that.

Have to say, i really need a permanent assistant/model soon- haha… Would be soooo much more easier than running around solo like crazy! 😀

Light painting v2

Info:
Nikon D3200 with sigma 10mm.
Iso 100, 15-30 sec, and around f4-f7.

Two lights where used, sometimes just one, and sometime stuck together. mix and match with diffuser/colors on.

Put together of around 37 images(not all used in final result) Total file size inclusive backups : 4GB.

Since my first attempt at underwater light painting was a “bust”, i thought i would give it a try on land..
Pretty happy with the result of my first ever try! But, man i gotta say, writing mirror wise is HARD, in a confined space with not so long shutter time! (due to it not being all dark here)

Really looking forward to taking this outside, with more space to paint, and longer exposure time.

Anyways, here is my first try, at “SPLIT PHOTOGRAPHY” in my living room.
(The “..graphy” was tricky ~ Not perfect. lol )

Light painting p1

Info:
Taken with 10mm sigma, F5, 15sec, iso 100. Total of 3 images, then put together in post.

Long exposure underwater photography, with light-painting.

This is a little “project” i started with a few days ago, well, have been thinking about it for around a year or so.

Have good experience from long exposure photography on land, but not underwater, so there will be some challenges, no doubt.
Don’t have any experience from light-painting either, why, i really don’t know, when it’s something i actually find very fascinating!

The use of long exposure / light painting underwayer is being used by some cave and wreck divers, but to not to much it looks like.

Anyways, i just jumped right into it, and took it all underwater for my first try.
How did it go ? Well, it didn’t. lol

Had the head of the tripod “break off”, and it wasn’t possible get sorted underwater. Clearly i have to use a more solid tripod (this was a cheep one..) And to be true, i kinda saw it coming…

Another thing is how the rig is being put together underwater, have to be very careful not to make a mess of the seafloor or else your just wasting time waiting  for the silt to settle down again.

But i gained experience, and got to do a little testing with the “hook-on” lead, transport of the extra lead & tripod, and the use of a tripod underwater, so i wouldn’t say it was a total bust. 🙂

Next time i will have a more solid rig, and maybe even a wireless remote for the camera, witch i’m thinking of fabricating.

Have some nice plans for this project in the end, but can revel to much just yet, stick around and you will find out. 😉

Here i will post some of my scuba diving adventures, photo related projects, photography assignments, mountaineering reports and thing like that.
Don’t think it will be much of a personal-life blog like most do.

I recall having tried to do a blog long time ago, with little success, due to time to update it, but ok, i’ll give it another try!
